InnovoGeo Engineering was founded in 2024 by Christopher Lynch, PE, with a mission to provide high-value civil and geotechnical professional engineering services to the Central Virginia area and beyond.
Chris is an experienced civil and geotechnical engineer, having contributed to projects of significant risk and technical complexity across multiple industries, including water resources, mining, transportation, public and private development, waste, environmental, and energy.
He brings to projects a multitude of perspectives, having served in roles as a public agency, private consultant, contractor, and owner. He is experienced with project delivery methods including design-build, design-bid-build, and engineer-procure-construct (EPC), with single project costs up to several hundred million dollars, in a wide range of geologic conditions.

His professional interests include researching complex and unique problems to find solutions, and keeping updated with industry trends, developments, research, and innovative approaches to implement in practice. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia and North Carolina and holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Chris lives in Powhatan, Virginia, with his wife Emily and three sons, where they enjoy hobby farming, various outdoor adventures, and participating in their children's many activities.
